ANC 3/4G-05 Update, 1/7/23

Happy New Year Neighbors,

-ANC 3/4G Meeting is Tomorrow at 6pm.

-The ANC DC Statehood Pledge is live. I've signed it as have commissioners from all over the city. Please pass it around to your friends in the city so they can ask their ANC commissioner to sign it. 

-Rev. Wendy Hamilton is running to be DC's shadow senator. Please come meet her at Guapos in Tenleytown on January 19th at 6pm. She's a fantastic person and will be great in this role. 

-Please continue to support DC teachers. We passed a resolution over a month ago urging the Mayor, Deputy Mayor of Education, and Chancellor of Education to enter into contract negotiations with the Washington Teacher's Union. We have not heard back, and teachers continue without a contract. 

-If you missed it, we passed a resolution communicating our preferences for the Civic Core RFP. It can be found here. We have yet to hear back from the city.

-This month the former owners of the Fishery will receive an award for their service to the community. Stay tuned for a firm date and continue to support our fine local businesses.
