Civic Core Announcements 6/28/23

Hello Good Neighbors one and all,

This past Monday the Office of Planning presented their proposed zoning changes for Connecticut Ave. and the Civic Core. The video of the meeting is here. Their presentation is attached here. 

Tonight, Wednesday, June 28, Commissioner Bruce Sherman will host a community meeting for his SMD about the civic core. You are welcome to attend on zoom from 7-8:30pm. That meeting can be found here. 

Tomorrow at 5pm the Zoning, Design and Development committee will have our regularly scheduled meeting, which you are welcome to join. It is on zoom at 5pm, linked here. 

At that meeting I will personally respond and propose how I think our community should move ahead. Those ideas are also attached in a draft resolution form here. 

I welcome your feedback and any ideas on the civic core or other ANC issues. Please do not hesitate to reach out at 3g05@anc.dc.gov.

Finally, let's remember to offer each other kindness and grace in this process. It's a good and lucky thing to live in a country that allows us this vigorous debate over the future of our communities. We'll figure this out together.
