DC Statehood Rally—Hands Off DC, 3/7/23

Fellow Washingtonians,

You've probably heard of Congressional efforts to interfere in our democracy and the President's willingness to go along. It's terrible! If you're not ok with this, The following are just a few ways to support our Home Rule rights and advocate for DC Statehood:

• Tomorrow there is a Hands Off DC demonstration and march at 11am. 

• You can sign on to a community letter started by several ANC commissioners supporting DC Statehood. 

• Call or write the White House. 

• Follow #DCStatehood on social media 

• Explore the Neighbors United for DC Statehood toolkit

• Tell friends in other states about our lack of Statehood and urge them to contact their Senators. Pass along the DC Statehood Compact being circulated around the country. 

Without representation in Congress, without Statehood, we are second class citizens. Like the call in the American Revolution, we say "no taxation without representation." Please join us, raise your voice, and help realize the 51st State and a more perfect Union.
